Listeners

Each listener, listens to issue events (such as issue update, issue move, issue create or issue link) and synchronizes selected field values to other issues.

The issue that the update happens on and the Jira event is fired on, is called the SOURCE issue. The issue (or issues) that the listener selects to sync values to, are called TARGET issues. Configuration screen of each listener allows you to define rules for selecting both source and target issues as well as which fields to sync.

Field Sync provides 4 types of listeners:

You can create multiple instances of each listener type with different configurations.

Epic-Story listeners are available only if JIRA Software is installed on your system.

Portfolio/Roadmaps listeners are available only if JIRA Software and Advanced Roadmaps (formerly JIRA Portfolio) are installed on your system.
