Configuration

Setting Permissions

Using the Access settings page you can set which users can access and which users can export data from Time in Status. To change Access Settings:

  1. Open Administration >> Add-ons >> Time in Status >> Access Settings page.
  2. On this screen you can set the user groups that can access Time in Status and user groups that can export data from Time in Status.
  3. User Groups section lets you select the user groups that can access Time in Status reports.
  4. User Groups for Report Exporting section lets you select the user groups that can export data from Time in Status.
    1. Export permission is available as a separate permission because taking exports might be hard on the server if you have a large number of issues and/or long issue histories.
  5. You need to click on Save Settings after making the necessary changes on access settings.

Business Hours Settings

You can use the Business Hours Settings page to define working days for your organization. Selected days and hours will be used to calculate report data for Business Hours and Business Days reports. To change Business Hours Settings:

  1. Open Administration >> Add-ons >> Time in Status >> BusinessHoursSettings page.
  2. Use the Business Days section and Work Hours section to define working days and hours for your organization
  3. Use the Holidays section to define non-working days for your organization.
  4. You need to click on Save Settings after making the necessary changes on access settings.

Format Settings

You can use the Format Settings page to define custom formats for date fields.
  • Enter a valid date format string to Date Format field to change the output format for "Date" type custom fields and DueDate system field.
  • Enter a valid datetime format string to DateTime Format field to change the output format for "DateTime" type custom fields and Created, Updated, Resolved system fields.
  • If no format string is given for one or both of the settings, the default JIRA date and datetime formats will be used. JIRA default format settings can be displayed and changed from "Look & Feel" JIRA administration page.
  • The given formats are used for both on screen reporting and file exports.

Excel displays any recognised date value in the format Excel is set to use so even if you are using a custom date/datetime format, XLS/XLSX files will display them in Excel date format (if recognised as a date) or will display them as text (if not recognised as a date)
