Time in Status Cloud offers different filter type options to select the issues to be included in the report.

User

User type reports filter issues that are assigned to or were assigned to a selected user. When this option is selected, the option dropdown lists all the users in the system and expects the user to select a user.

Project

Project type reports filter issues that are in a selected JIRA project. When this option is selected, the option dropdown lists all the projects in the system that the current user can access and expects the user to select a project.

JQL Filter

JQL Filter type reports filter issues based on a predefined JIRA filter. When this option is selected, the option dropdown lists all the JQL filters in the system that the current user owns or is shared by the current user and expects the user to select a filter.The user can select a filter that returns issues from multiple projects so cross project reporting is possible.

Sprint

Sprint type reports filter issues based on a Sprint defined in one of Jira's Scrum Boards. 

When this option is selected, two dropdown boxes are appear. First one is used to select the Scrum Board and the second one is used to select the Sprint in that Scrum Board.


Custom JQL

Custom JQL type reports filter issues based on a JQL filter that you enter through the page. When this option is selected, a textbox appears that you can enter a JQL Query.

As you type, Time in Status validates your query against Jira and shows a little green check icon or red cross icon on the left side of the textbox to indicate its validity.

The user can enter a query that returns issues from multiple projects so cross project reporting is possible.
